I just do not like Blogger very much and have my years of being comfortable with LJ.

Please visit me at: http://clickclackzines.livejournal.com/Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-47253513673511047172009-02-28T19:15:00.003-05:002009-02-28T19:23:24.558-05:00Upcoming Events!2009 is already promising to be a nice year for the distro! I have already scheduled to table at two upcoming events.

April 19th - New Jersey Zine Fest - New Brunswick, NJ at Rutgers University.

May 9th - DIY Fest - Baltimore, MD at 2640 St. Paul St.

Also in the works is the Richmond Zine Fest, which I help to organize. That will be in the fall.

Remember that July is International Zine Month. Visit the IZM blog to read details about a free compilation zine I am creating about how we all got into zines.Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-61827371406139783592009-02-24T07:53:00.002-05:002009-02-24T07:56:27.747-05:00Click Clack is moving right along!So.. I am sick today. No no, not playing hooky. I have some sort of weird neausea/inner ear thing that is making me super dizzy when I stand up. It's not good.

Because of that I am staying home and trying not to move around too much. This means, I definitely have more time to work on the website! Typing zine descriptions is WAY more stressful that I ever imagined it to be. I know it'll be easier in the long run since I will not have so many to do at once.

In other news... I finished my own zine, Introvert #6 this weekend! Another reason I am trying to work so quickly in getting the website launched, since it will be much easier just to sell it from there.

Right now, a little preview of the site is up for view, http://clickclackdistro.comClick Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-37396740748107825012008-11-18T07:00:00.002-05:002008-11-18T07:03:10.428-05:00Slow but steady!Click Clack Distro is taking things slow & steady! Joe is still working on the website layout. He's a bit of a perfectionist (as am I), so we are making sure everything is just right before opening the store.

I seriously can't wait. I am dancing around these two crates of zines here in my office and i just want to get them out to people!

I am not going to be doing anything with submission right yet, not until I open. I want to make sure i am caught up with what i have before adding more. I have a TON to open with so i am very excited.

Hopefully I can say December instead of November as a start time!Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-1546328959456626702008-10-10T17:42:00.002-04:002008-10-10T17:44:06.896-04:00Richmond Zine Fest - TOMORROW!Click Clack Distro is debuting TOMORROW at the Richmond Zine Fest!

I am completely excited!

Remember... it's at the Gay Community Center of Richmond from 11 AM til 5 PM at 1407 Sherwood Avenue!Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-67021882990793645152008-09-18T13:30:00.006-04:002008-09-18T13:37:20.197-04:00Click Clack Sticker!

I am stoked on this sticker that my husband, Joe, designed for the distro. For the time being he also added it as the header to the website until he can finish designing the actual site.

I can't wait until i get the stickers back in the mail. I used a place in NC called Contagious Graphics which i read some good reviews on, so hopefully they are as perfect as the design!

I also received some 1" pins made by Alex at Small World Buttons that were totally awesome! I can't wait to use them as giveaways at the Richmond Zine Fest.

Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-15624215843932140102008-09-04T09:07:00.002-04:002008-09-04T09:11:48.410-04:00New Zine Resources!A couple of really awesome zine resources have popped up lately that I am really excited about. I am definitely feeling that a new era of zines is on the rise and I simply cannot wait to be a part of it.

The site that is making so incredibly gleeful is We Make Zines. We Make Zines is a social networking site dedicated to zines and zinesters only. This way our contact with each other is not polluted with all the other contacts and drama that is hard to filter out on places like My Space or Facebook.

The other site that has a lot of potential is Zine Classifieds. This site encourages people to post classified ads on their zines, distros, zine events, submission calls, etc.

I really hope that these new resources take off and bring the zine scene to a new level.Click Clack Distrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13904375112372423248noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7204668625540137909.post-19866083022476861792008-08-28T12:58:00.003-04:002008-08-28T13:11:54.406-04:00Click Clack Blog Begins!I figured I would do a blog for my distro work which is separate from my personal blogging via Live Journal.

So here is Click Clack Distro's blog!

On this blog you can expect to find Click Clack Distro info, updates to stock, general pondering about distribution of zines, order tracking, etc.

Remember that Click Clack Distro will be opening at the Richmond Zine Fest on October 11th. Shortly thereafter the actual webstore will launch.

In the meantime Click Clack is taking zines for stock consideration!

Please send zines to:

Click Clack Distro
c/o Nicole
PO Box 35501
Richmond, VA 23235
USA

Click Clack is mainly looking for perzines, political zines, zines on alternative/mental health, DIY, How-To, etc. Fiction, poetry, & comics will be considered but will be scrutinized a bit more closely.
